Here'* another one for everyone.
I have a great story for all of you.
A friend of mine, Brad, who works in the service department at a GM dealership told me this very funny story. A lady comes in for service, with her car under warranty, and complaints that she thinks her car is revving pretty high. She also says it is intermittent. My buddy goes for a test drive with her and, after 10 minutes driving around with her, notices nothing out of the ordinary. So, after asking her various questions about her car, Brad asks her, “Does it rev high when you drop the shift lever into the ‘2nd’ position?” as he proceeds to shift into 2. “That’* the sound!” she exclaims and proceeds to ask him “Can you fix it?”

There'* a story somwhere about a guy who blew his engine/tranny. Bought a stick, and didn't know what it was. Driving around in 1st all day.
I actually used to work at a Shell gas station years ago. Dude pulls up in a borrowed Diesel pickup, starts to get the pump going. I told him it was a diesel, and not to do that. He swears that it'* not, and continues pumping. I shrugged, and walked away. He made it almost 2 blocks.

I almost did that. We were on a roadtrip 7 stoped to get gas. Well im not used to having the Diesel & gas come out of the same pump stand. Picked up the nozzle & tried to start filling. Thank god the diesel nozzle is bigger than normal and wouldnt fit inside the nozzle.

I'm not sure how long they've been using the restrictors in the filler neck. Either my incident was too long ago (1984 or so) or someone had removed it. My gas station had 3 tow trucks all parked out front, but this guy called someone else instead of having to lose face at our station, after having been warned.
