First Dance
Well PontiacDaughter went to her first dance outside of school last night. I guess our little girl is growing up. She went with a group of friends (that'* the only way Dad and I would let her go) and me being the worry wart that I am, I laid down all the rules before they went in.
1. No leaving the building
2. No kissing with the boys (of course they all screamed YUCK!!! when I said that one)
3. Must take a buddy to the bathroom.
4. Stay together
5. And the most important rule....HAVE FUN!!!
It was put on by the Friendship Center here, and the girls had a great time. They did say the boys were kind of werid though. Which makes me very happy!!!!!
I dropped them off at 8PM and picked them all up at 10PM, I think that was late enough for an 11 year old. It was very well run, I had to sign them in when I got there and then sign them out when I picked them up. Dad and I both agree that it is time to let PDaughter spread her wings a little , but of course not too much lol.

First dance I remember going to, I copped out an played DJ. Seemed to be the role I was made for, as I did it a lot. Maybe that'* why I never learned to dance...

My first dances were the famous 7th and 8th grade dances in the school gym. The funny thing was the two grades didn't mix so no one crossed center court into the other grade'* side...it just wasn't cool. Then the boys of each grade had a group as did the girls, so really there were like four very distinct groups...until slow dances....
