I did it, and it seemed very fast, but I have RoadRunner which is already pretty quick, and I was told it tops out at a certain speed anyway. It'* going to take more than today to see if it really works...but I did notice that downloading was faster right away. I did however have very slow internet about an hour or so after I did this, and downloading was taking forEVER...which used to happen before....so right now I'd say there is little or no difference.

It does work. You take out the delay on displaying, and it can basically "ask" for however many things it needs to. So you can get the first 10 pix on a page instead of one, etc.
It doesn't make your connection faster, but it gets more coming at once, and doesn't wait to get it up.

I did this on my laptop and ween a bit of change, until I had to go on dial up at one of the hotels. Then the difference was night and day between it and using IE. Works much better with those new tricks.
