with shiping anything, ...
1: Find a box that looks like that part will fit in.
2: now find a box that is 20-50% bigger...
3: Use GOOD packing stuff to hold it in one spot.
4: use Good think Tape to close the box.
5: Drop Test.... itf you here a rattle ro a Kock, Re packge it....

When GMPD sent me 2 swaybars, a STB, and 2 trailing arms, all they did was arrange the items to where they were all up against each other, wrap them with packing tape in several points, also used zip ties in several points, and then taped the small stuff to the items they went with.
They didnt even put it in a box! I just came home one day and there was a pile of metal taped together laying on my deck!

I think the worst part about this is how FedEx was completely okay with just leaving me in limbo. Their website just said the package was damaged, handling per shipper'* instructions. All they could say was that damaged usually means broken glass or liquid. Considering it was a sway bar, I wasn't really convinced that it was actually damaged!
As it turns out, after I went to the FedEx facility that supposedly had the package, their documentation says the contents are actually missing. How come nobody at FedEx could tell me that??
It says:
Container used: Corrugated Carton.
Closures: Masking Tape.
Container condition: Crushed, Closures open.
Inner packing: None.
Inspection of Merchandise: Description: Unknown contents.
Condition of Contents: Contents Missing.
I asked if I could see it, and they told me they just throw out empty damaged package containers, and that there were no contents in it. They did offer to tell me that they never saw a steel bar of any sort, and that if it fell out, it most likely did so at their Sacramento sorting facility, and that without any sort of tag on it, even if they found it, they'd have no idea what package it went with, and so the bottom line is: Front swaybar, a 322mm diameter steel bar, and the ELC components are GONE.
I've been waiting for a long time for these parts so I can do this upgrade and now I think I most likely have to just forget it.
I contacted my local salvage yard and asked if they had any SSEi Bonnevilles, they said they had one for a while that they tossed out last month and said to check back from month to month. I think that might be my best bet, but for now, I think I'm pretty much *.O.L.

Stupid FedEx that delivered my parts today... Here what my driveway is like
hhhhh
|hhhhh|________
hhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhh

hhhhh
hhhhh
HOUSE
So he pulls up behind the car parked ouside the garage and get out and put the package by our door. Then he is all jammed up because he tried to back up onto the little car pad and turn around instead of backing up ten more feet our onto the road. Some of the grass is torn up and some tar ripped up on the driveday. I got his plate # though and Im going to call FedEx about his stupidity.
