Default 97 Monte Carlo Z34

Looked at a Monte Carlo this morning. It'* a black 97 Z34 with a spoiler, alloys, leather, cd player, automatic, sharp looking car. Not sure of the engine, I would assume it'* a 3400. He wants $4k for it, is that a decent price?

WAY overpriced. In this area they go for around $2500-$3000 max. They are a dime a dozen, you can find a nice one for way less than $4k.

The z34 model started running a 3800 at some point not sure of the year. The z34 was originally the dohc 3.4 litre not a 3400 series motor. Not sure if they ever ran a 3400 series motor. The dohc 3.4 had issues.

F.Y.I I traded my 96 in for my Bonne and got a grand for it w/136k. just for reference.

1998 Chevrolet Lumina/Monte Carlo: A 200-horsepower 3.8-liter overhead-valve V6 replaces the dual-cam 3.4-liter V6 on Monte Carlo Z34s and Lumina LTZs. Otherwise, changes are minimal.
Found this on Google.
Actually plan on buying my daughter a 99 Monte Z34 when sh turns 16. She was born in 99.Actually, gonna get it when she'* 14 or 15 and work on it and customize it. Hopin she will appreciate it since she did work. She'll have to pay insurance too. She'* a big Monte fan, 'cause the wife is too.

I have a 1995 Z34 DOHC 3.4 with 186000 miles on it, runs great... but still want the bonneville back.
