Default Gas resistant glue?

I am looking for gas resistant glue to attach a rubber or plastic wear pad to the bottom of a weed eater plastic fuel tank. The wear pad will see spilled fuel but will not be in constant contact with gas.

Any sugestions?

I used some cold weld stuff on the well plugs of my '68'* carburator that is supposed to be resistant to gas. I'll check it when I get home, I can remember the brand. I think it was JB Weld.
