Default Turbonado

These are outrageous claims

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot...ash=item160176732315

"Will the Turbnado void my vehicle'* warranty?

Absolutely not!! Federal laws state that adding aftermarket items to your vehicle cannot void the dealer warranty."

Can someone point me to this law? I know of many Edelbrock parts that will void it

"Is there a guarantee?

Yep! If you are not 100% satisfied with this product you may return it within 30 days for a FULL REFUND, minus shipping costs.***"

the part is $2....shipping is $16

"Exactly how much savings/power boosts can I expect?**

EPA tests have been carried out on stationary vortex generators that have recorded gains in horsepower and gas mileage, resulting in up to 20+hp gains and 24%+mpg gains. Other tests have recorded up to 35hp and 31%MPG!* Outcomes differ from vehicle to vehicle, but overall the Turbnado is an economical way to aid in the performance of your vehicle.

After hearing the gains that our customers have shared with us, we figured that the average gas mileage gains range from 2 MPG all the way up to about 8 MPG.* "

www.fueleconomy.gov right on there it says there are no true fuel economy gain mods.

Eagle, read the very prominent top post in Performance and Brainstorming. Then come to realize that 75% of the vendors on Ebay lie for profit.

Actually, warranties CANNOT be voided by the addition of aftermarket parts. HOWEVER, if a failure occurs in a system that is affected by the aftermarket part, then they are allowed to deny the claim. In other words, if you add an intake, and your window regulator breaks, they have to repair it. If you add an intake and the MAF goes bad, then they could decline warranty coverage.

On that note, pretty much any power-adding modification will get your drivetrain warranty claims denied, at least as far as mechanicals go. The electronics should still be covered.
