Default DVD menus...

So awnser me this...

Why do widescreen DVD'* still have the menus in standard format?

Every time you go between the menu and the movie you need to resize the screen (on a widescreen tv anyways). Why don't they make the menus to match the movie format? or are there any out there that do that I don't know about?

Never pondered that one Gordy, maybe I'll watch the next time for that....sometimes the intros are so damn cool, its worth the 20 bux that it cost of the DVD itself :P

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

But I believe it'* because the menus are made in a type of AVI file format. The aspect ratio of this format means that it can't be wide screen.

I'm not 100% on that, but I remember reading it somewhere...
