yes, you will also need a dsl modem. is this a self install or are they doing it? who is the provider? one of my providers is sprint and they don't charge. Qwest does.

Yes Mike, that 10/100 card in the laptop is for the cable from the router to the computer.

The part you will need is a cable modem to go from the cable in the wall to the router. As Travis says...maybe it'* free. Most I have found are not and it'* cheaper to pick up the Linksys modem that'* on sale this week.

ya, I don't know if your is cable or dsl. cable modems are a dime a dozen and standadized. dsl modems on the other hand most times are best left to the provider.

OK, now I get what you're talking about. Mine will be cable and it'* from Bright House. I'll call to be sure, but you're probably right, I'll need the modem.

Where'* that Linksys modem on sale?

And Cody...lol...Mine wasn't quite that old but it was so slow it was like riding a tricycle in the Tour de France.
