I remember once when I was young, my moms car got broken into and someone tried to steal it. I remember the feelings and thoughts then, and I can only imagine how much worse it would be to have someone break into your home, it would be very unsettling for sure.

More and more people seem to lack a proper conscience these days. I'm glad to hear that the situation was resolved without injury to you and your family.

Sorry to hear about this. That would drive me nuts too. And, I can not imagine how my wife would have reacted.
Glad to hear everyone is alright.

Get a dog. Then you won't need to use the gun.

Or an alarm system.... I agree with the gun approach, (Especially a double barrel)... one thing about getting broken into is it'* a long time before you get over that 'feeling'. An alarm system gives ya back some of your peace of mind.

Also motion sensor lights if ya can.

Whatever ya do don't shoot through the window. Make sure they are at least 3/4 of the way in before ya cap their asses
