sqela, i love that av. im actually usin that on another forum. its great.

i also have vista. only problems are the same as crash described. limited drivers and software. but it will catch up soon, and those issues will be resolved.

and also had problems with gateway customer service helping with vista questions. they dont know chit about it. i will never buy a gateway, solely bc of their "customer service".

SPs for Vista are going to be a marketing ploy for people waiting for a service pack. any and all necessary updates should and can be installed through the vista autoupdater... This is coming straight from microsoft

I tried Ubuntu. It is a nice OS, unless you want to play any game you like, do my particular hobby, etc.

I would not recommend any Unix as a replacement/alternative to everybody that has a computer. It has it'* audience, but that audience is limited...

Personally, the best OSs I've ever used were 95, 98, and XP

95 was good, until 98 came out, then 2000 kicked ***
