(sorry ahead of time if this is a double post)
What'* with the new Pontiac naming system? G5? G6? Now G8? WTF!?!?! What happened to the great names of our fathers Pontiacs? Bonneville, for one, was one of the oldest names in Pontiac history, and what did they do? Nix it. For "G8". horrible. So, my question for you, what is the meaning of the letter G? And don't say "Grand", because I don't believe that fits the G5 very well...

I think they are just trying to make their cars more like the foreign carmakers, a lot of which use only numbers and letters instead of names.
I personally dont like it, I like associating a name with a car, instead of a number.

the letters and numbers are simplistic, if its a higher number its a better model.

Didn't GM learn that lesson years ago with the 1000, 2000, 6000?? Whatever they were. Thought that was European.............. Then went back to the classic names after that. Stupid !!!! Love the old style names.
