Default Looking for a power opening fuel door

Saw it on TV the other noght. Want to find out more about them, btu I can't find anything in the aftermarket at all. Has anyone come across a fuel door that is electronically opened? The one I saw rotated out of place (like the old logo'* trunk key locks) and had a second flap that followed right behind it (what would be a gas cap). Let me know if you have seen this or anything like this.

They are of interest to me also, but I have only seen them availible for 3 vehicles. Civics' , Stang'*, and sveral truck models. Given the spefic contour our bodies, I doubt one could be retrofitted. :?

it could be done let me get to the shop and i'll take a look at it, automation is something that really interests me lol...

i think removing the hinge and attaching a actuator on its own hinge then another to spin the door would be kind of cool

I am looking fo this for my truck (hence, in the lounge), but I am willing to modify it to fit of there isn't one specifically available. Anyone have any links? the one I did see before was on a smaller import onsome car pimping competition show on MTV2.

Do a google search for remote fuel door and you will come up with a couple sites that sell them for 'Stangs and trucks

my buddy was planning to do this to his caprice the fuel cap is behind the fold down licence plate and he planned to have it switch operated to open and close.
