Default Working on Explorer *update w/ new pics*

While I wait for Les Schwab to re-open tommarow for some wheel shimmy problems, I decided to tackle the lower valance and safari gaurd on it. Well, Lower valance was easy.
From this w/o fog light openings:

To w/ Fog light openings:

No just need to find some fog lights....

But this Safari gaurd is being a pain. The main braket isn't lining up properly. The lower valance is getting in the way. And the factory pictures dosen't show the valance off and the directions don't call for it. So, yeah, it'* frustrating... If anyone has any idea'* I'm open to them. Otherwise I'm calling tech. support tommarow (When they are open!). I think I might end up having to take a dremel to the valance

Some times you gotta tweak things to get them to fit just right but it should at least kinda align up. Maybe they got the contents of the box wrong? Did the instructions come with a parts list and drawings?

yeah, trust stared and messed with for a quite a while. There isn't any other place to mount it. But the drawing dosen't illistrate the valance getting in the way, just the frame with the pieces bolting up to it

Do they intend for you to have to cut the valance/bumper?

Anyone on an Explorer Forum ever install one of these?

Is there another portion of the kit you need to order for your application?

Took the explorer in today to Les Schwab to have the tires looked at for a bad vibration/wabble at all speeds. $200+ later I get outta there with 2 new front tires. The old ones were litrally coming apart from the inside out

Didn't get time to work on the gaurd, but tried to call Westin, offices were already closed. What is the difference in Centeral Standard time and where I liver on the west coast?! :?
