Default Did the 1974 GTO came in hatchback form?

Can anyone tell me for sure whether the 1974 GTO came in hatchback form? I'll explain why I'm asking below.

I know that for '74, it was based on the Chevy Nova/Pontiac Ventura/Buick Apollo/Olds Omega platform, and Googling turns up no shortage of photos, but I'm having a hard time confirming whether the Goat was ever built on the hatchback body, or if they all had trunk lids and fixed rear windows.

Reason I ask is that I'm currently auctioning off a New Old Stock GM blower-type rear defogger dealer installation kit on eBay that'* designed specifically for the Nova/Ventura/Apollo/Omega hatchbacks, kind of a clever design that installs in the left rear interior trim panel instead of the usual rear window shelf, since of course the hatchbacks didn't _have_ a rear shelf.

The instructions for it don't mention the GTO since they were printed for the '75 model year, and the Goat had been dropped after 1974 (um, right?), but I don't see any reason why this kit wouldn't retrofit into the earlier '73 or '74 hatchbacks, and Goats would be the most likely restoration candidates for that body style in 1974. So if the Goat _was_ available in hatchback form that year, I'd like to be able to say so in my ad; right now I'm just guessing. Feedback welcome; thanks.

Whoops... since they bought it in 1999 and the latest entry looks to be 2001, I guess they _did_ restore one...

In a way, the same could be said for the present(2004) incarnation of the GTO. It got the guts, but it ain't got no soul!!!

*grumble* You ain't kidding: it looks like a rental car.

I saw one in a supermarket parking lot the other day... it looked like it belonged there. It'* so _un_distinctive now, if anyone asks me whether I've seen many 2004 GTOs, I'll have to answer honestly, "I'm not sure."
