This is to the administrators, it'* been my thought for quite some time that you're unduly harsh to new posters who drag up an old thread, they're new to the forum, just looking for information and they probably don't even notice the original post date.Wonder how many of those new posters have felt unwelcome and never returned. I belong to 3 other GM related forums and I don't see the same attitude regarding old posts. And although I'm not easily offended, the term necrobump just rubs me wrong, sounds like something a perverted mortician would do.

Every welcome PM requires new members to read the rules of the forum. Every forum has rules. I know of a few others that frown upon 'bumping of old threads'. If members weren't so lazy about reading the rules, then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Who codes for you guys? Have them write a routine that will not allow a reply to a post after X amount of time.

They won't. They won't even let me batch close threads older than X.
Already tried.
