fish tailing
Kicking the *** end out is fun in a parking lot, but not so fun going 45 down a country road. Driving the girl'* GP. Ranger coming at us, the rear end slides into our lane. I tap the brakes and swerve a little. Next I know, we are fish tailing for 300 feet or so, clip the ditch (which slows us down enough to get the car under control) and stop.
We went back to see if the other person made it. They didn't. The truck was in the ditch and she was standing on the road looking at it. We gave her a lift to her son'* place (she was an older lady). Not planing on taking that road again any time soon.

Glad you're alright, I've had a couple of those oh crap moments on a washboard back road myself.
one do to a flat tire in my S10, and the other in an Escort where I was just being an *** taking an * curve at 65. Looking back it was the stupidest thing I ever did.Lost traction halfway through the initial slide and fish tailed back and forth about four or five times, but somehow kept it out of the ditch on one side and the river on the other. Scared the crap out of my buddy who was trying to keep up in his Honda Desol.

Last year at New Year'* Eve we drove my wife'* `01 GP GT to visit friends up in the Santa Cruz mountains. The roads wind around, lots of *-curves, and it was raining, and her tires were about a month away from replacing. Lost the tail in one of the curves, did a bit of slalom left/right/left/right sliding around before recovering control. ABS helped too. That can get pretty scary. I got her a full set of Dunlops this past summer. Don't take chances with your life!
