I can't believe this guy is just going to keep dragging it on. He could have paid you by now and avoided all this. I can't wait to hear what happens, hehe.
Good luck.
Good luck.

MARCH 14, 2008 – COURT DATE!
It was a long time coming. This started on January 14, 2007. This morning, 14 months later, I had the much anticipated court date. I got there at 9:30, waited until things began at 10. I was the last case to be called (roll call)...I said "plaintiff ready" and not to my surprise the defendant wasn't there.
I went into another courtroom and waited another 45 minutes or so. I was the last one to go up, the only one in the courtroom besides the judge and the "woman that sits at the desk." I was sworn in, expecting to tell my side of the story. I had LOADS of evidence, from the contract, receipts, numerous emails, the NBC news story on DVD, the personal items that were in the trunk of my car over a year ago.....etc.
The judge asked how I came to a total of $1299.32. I explained to him how, breaking it down, and then he asked if I had it written down. I said yes and handed him the sheet of paper. Moments later he granted me a judgement for $1299.32. I said thank you, and stuffing the paperwork back in my bag, I had a hard time trying to keep the big stupid grin on my face from becoming too obnoxious.
Now I have to collect it, but regardless, I got what I wanted, which was the satisfaction knowing this no-good "businessman" was not going to get away with it. I originally was going to sue for less than $400, but am glad I went after more. But even if I was going after $200, I would have stuck it out just the same based on principle. He now owes a total of about $10,000 from numerous small claims cases he has lost by ignoring the people he has screwed over. He has 3 PENDING court cases also coming up this year, totalling more than $6000 in damages.
This guy will go down one day...for good.

Wow congrats man!! Time went spent and its not just the money its the principle. What happens now is he served with the judgment now? If he does not pay can you put up a lien against his property?
