It'* been many years sence I sold off all of my businesses. but a complaint to teh bBB goes on record for all to see. and it will stay there until it'* satisfied. I belive it can get in the way if he needs to get a loan, as well if he wants to do business with another business. I always checked the BBB record when starting with a new client. Another option is to file a small claims agenst him for the amount of damage. Even just the threat will in many cases get them to move. Otherwise they need to show up for court, this costs money. You can play hardball without doing much.

Besides the keys and floormats, which he said he has, he owes me $55 or the ventshades. He has not told me he would reimburse me for that. But it has been a week since our last 'conversation' and there'* been no word from him. The fact that he said he filed his answer with the BBB, and it is clear he has not, makes me believe he is continuing to blow me off.
To those who have followed this saga from the beginning, sorry to keep this thread alive, but it'* my only way of venting. Since this is in the BBB'* hands, I cannot resolve this by going down to his dealership face-to-face, though I want to.
He now has until the 22nd to respond to the BBB. If I do not get full reimbursement by then, I am taking further action. The reimbursement he owes me may be minor, but it'* enough to tick me off to the point where I will ruin his rep if he continues to blow me off.
I'm surprised he has blown me off for this long considering how much a BBB complaint can possibly hurt his business (at least I think it could).
On that note, I went out for a few (strong) drinks after work. I'm quite buzzed. Don't let my lack of misspellings fool you. I'm going to bed early... will keep you updated! lol

I went to small claims.once....I won the case but never collected. It was up to me to keep going back to court each month in front of a judge to find out she couldnt pay...blah blah it was wasting my time. This was $700.00 back in the 80'*, and the judge said anything less than this would be wasting the courts time. I doubt your $100.00 + - claim in court will be worth it. Sad but true

I don't really care about the money, it'* just the principle. I won't even bother with small claims court if it doesn't get resolved through the BBB, or BBs.

He has until the 22nd to respond to them now. They are forwarding MORE info from my complaint as they asked me for more info on him; if he responded to me; if anything is resolved, etc.
I sent them this:
So he will read this as well, and hopefully get it through his thick head I am not playing around. I still can't believe he told me he responded to the BBB. Like I wouldn't find out!
If the 22nd comes and he did not respond or reimburse me, I am paying him a visit. I'll leave it to the BBB until that point. I am completely ready to ruin his reputation somehow after this. I just don't know the best and most efficient way...
I sent them this:
I was getting upset I heard no response from Dave after I filed the complaint, so I sent him a quick e-mail on Feb. 8, reminding him I was waiting for a response. On Feb 9, he finally responded. He seemed upset I filed a complaint. I told him I was justified since he never made an attempt to resolve the issues. He stated, "The BBB cannot do anything for you other than contact me which I already filed my answer. NO NEGATIVE FILE WITH THE BBB UPON MY ANSWER!" I had thought he filed an answer with the BBB according to that quote, but I can see that he was not telling the truth since I was told by the BBB he did not respond. He said on Feb. 9 he would send me my keys and floormats "soon." He didn't mention paying me back for the window shades (I gave him the receipt). So far nothing is resolved, I have not received anything, and no dates of reimbursement were promised. I am skeptical that he will reimburse me everything given his history. I am left waiting...
