Default My fun/headache for today.

Well, today was the day to replace the radiator, and do a tune-up on the Shadow. It is going along real well until I found my coolant leak on the radiator, and I thought for sure it was just a small leak, until I cam across this -

Then I pulled the valve covers to replace the gaskets, pretty clean for 250k -

And deleted the broken, heavy, discharged AC -

I'm sure I should probably know this, but how does that happen to a radiator?

Corrosion probs? I have seen pics of AC condensors do that in coastal areas.

The fins corrode so bad (they are copper) that they corrode and disintigrate. To add onto that, I have 2 large cracks in the radiator tanks that leak badly when it warms up.

Just fold up some aluminum foil and super glue it back in there!
