today a girl found a tick on her and decided it would be a good idea to flick it off in our room than to kill it, so now i have to do a tick check before i go to bed

Wow, yeah I'd definitely call the landlord, and if he doesn't want to send somebody, i'd tell him you're about to call the health department. I realize you probably don't want to get anyone into trouble here, but this could be hazardous to your health. It seems there must be some sort of crack somewhere.
And yes, I see house centipedes from time to time... I HATE those things, and I'm really not afraid of bugs... except mosquitoes.
We get a lot of mosquitoes around here this time of year. In fact, last night i saw two huge ones in my apartment and smashed them to pieces. I had a bad experience with them as a child so now i'm a bit paranoid of them.

may I also mention you most likely have a mold problem. considering worms and slugs like moist areas.
which is also bad for your health.
I'd call the landlord.

Definitely get the landlord on the horn. I wouldn't start off by calling the Health Department. Give the landlord the opportunity to correct the issue first. That'* only reasonable.

I pulled up the carpeting near where I saw the worms and the floor isn't wet, nor is the padding underneath. The tack board at the edge of the wall has black spots on it though, is that black mold? I'm not sure what black mold looks like, or if it'* considered normal.
I'm not sure if I want to pull it up anymore than that. I'm afraid I wont' be able to get it back down properly. hah. I just feel like an idiot to go down to the office if I can't find any evidence of a problem myself, other than what I found last night.. there were a TON of dead brown spiders under the carpet though.
