your first car
i cant believe i dont see this topic on here somewhere! here goes...
my first car was a red, 1984 Pontiac 6000 2 DOOR! i challenge anyone to find another 2 door 6000. im not saying they dont exist, cause im sure mine wasnt the only one ever made, but ive never seen another one. it had a 2.8 carburated v6, red cloth interior. even though it was 15 years old when i got it, i kept the rust off, the wax on, and loved that car. then the steering rack, water pump, radiator, master cylinder, and a few other things all took a crap at the same time, literally within a month. i sold it to the girl that would later become my wife, for 150 bucks. that was about 6 years ago. ive seen it a coule times since then, but not for about 3 years.

My first car was a dark blue 1989 Ford Thunderbird with a 3.8L head gasket eater(not supercharged though...)
I miss that car... The fun times and things we did with it.

Define the term"first car"...first car ever or first car that you bought on your own?
First ever for me was a '79 AMC Concord wagon..."government special". Off-white with spraypainted front doors (to mask the fact that it was a TVA car at one point in time), no rear seat but instead had an extended rear deck (making it a five-door coupe), and poverty caps. I won't mention how I killed it
First on-my-own car: 95 Dodge Neon Sport. Had the infamous kink in the engine harness and always shut down on me when I was either on the 2-mile bridge in Pensacola or on a date. Kept it 3 years.

My first was a 1981 Mercury Zephyr (twin to the Ford Fairmont). It was a drivers ed car, silver and ten years old with 80,000 miles. It had a little rust behind the trim, so I took it off and my dad helped me do some sanding/bondo and did a dark blue on the bottom.
MyLittleBlackBird, I feel your pain. My second car was a 1984 Thunderbird. It blew three head gaskets in the year and a half I owned it. Warped the head twice. But it was ten years old with 47,000 miles when I got it, so I think it just wasn't used to the everyday driving.

The first car that was mine to drive was a '94 Ford Tempo with the 2.3 4-banger. Solid little car, and I probably would have driven it for quite some time had I not gotten rear-ended (totalled the car).
