I'm glad I came across Bonnevilleclub
back around late February. . I'd been stumbling around before I actually registered and signed in for the first time.. I reckon that'* how most of us were before we signed up here.. This site was what made me confirm my love for bonnevilles..
I'd liked them since I was younger, in 3rd grade, my best friend / crush'* mom had a sparkling clean '91 SSE in the bright white, with the bodymatching wheels.. I think I've liked them since then. I was always more partial to the 92-95 bodies, though.. Before bc, I was highly into Astro vans/Cavaliers/Monte carlos.. So I already had an interest in GM, but the situation came up where a close friend of the family was an autio auctioneer, which I figured after crashing my escort i'd bought on Feb. 3rd, and totalled it on Feb. 5th, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask him about my next car. I told him what I was looking for.. Bonneville 92-95 bodystyle (i like the lights/tails more on these than 96-99'*) in blue, red, white, or black.. He goes to the auto auctions in evansville, WI all the time, so i figured i'd give it a shot to see if he could help me out.. it worked, sortof
He told me he had a '93 SSEi in red, and a '95 SE.. I asked what color the SE was, he said it'* like a pearl blue looking color, so I asked him to bring it back to IL and I would take a look at it.. The night it came here, I bought her. $3,350.. It'* been an obsession yet a problem since .. There'* been so many problems with it, but in all honesty, BC has helped me figure out a large amount of what the problems could be, or actually were.. and I've gotten them fixed.. Lol, like the time I couldn't find my PCV! then an admin took picture instructions and posted them, it made it easy to understand what to do.. The people here are so awesome, and nice, and I believe I've forged some good friendships with a few people here that will last for a long time based on what we like, and nobody here really judges you or holds grudges or makes fun of you, and i enjoy that.. i'm glad there'* a group of people devoted to what they like, and like what i like, and everyone'* just a real cool gang of people here.
The your rides section was what really made me look into these cars, the interior had a good layout and lookd very comfortable, the outside was aerodynamic, and a large family sedan that could still manage to grab 25 mpg with a non happy foot caught my eye
i'm glad bc is around
i'll finish later, bus is here

Glad you like it here!
Unlike you, I signed up as soon as I found this site. Of course, I had already owned my '97 SE for 8 years by then and was looking for someplace where I could get some info and find parts and performance information. Actually stumbled around the net for a while before finding it.
I also originally fell in love with a white '90 SSE with matching white wheels. It was owned by my then engineering director as a company car. It had everything on it with grey leather, HUD, and about every other option available at the time. It would even haul *** when loaded with four engineers, lol.

I always liked pontiacs in the late 90s when the new grand ams came out I was in <3 even though I was like 13. Liked the GPs too, when I was 17 my professor at college had a 94 ssei and one day did a massive burnout (on accident lol) and I was like I had to have that. At the time I was driving an 87 olds 98 with a 3800 but the whole supercharger thing seemed too sweet.
LOOK how stupid...er uninformed I was:

Learned quite a bit from this site and probably the reason I have one again.

Picking up where I left off earlier:
I'm glad I came across bonnevilleclub
there'* so much i've learned here within two months, and the experience is good.
everyone is so nice, seems cool, and is understanding and willing to talk you through your problem to figure out what to do to fix it
everyone here is insanely dedicated to what their passion is, which is bonnevilles.. and i admire that
i couldn't imagine myself being amongst any other group of automotive enthusiasts.. thank you for showing me a good run so far, BC
and thanks to those who haven't been mean to me for not understanding alot of things
