as far as i know and I got a hold of my buddy and I swing by his place tonight and see if it works on his and i will update you all after that

another one bites the dust same story on his computer will recognize it but can't access it I am going to see if I can sweet talk a friend that has access to a clean room to move all the dat to a new hd but I am coming to terms that some of the stuff will be lost forever

I had that problem with a friends external drive on my computer too. I run xp pro, I just updated my usb drives and it worked fine
