Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't all 442'* stick'*. Not auto'*. I was always told
4 Barel Carb
4 Speed On The Floor
2 Dual Exhaust.

The 442 originally meant four speed, four barrell, dual exhaust; but like anything the car changed so the name didn't really signify anything. After a couple years you could get an automatic. Then when they relegated the 442 to only an option on the Cutlass in '71 you could even get a 350 with a two barrel carb. :?
