This is a CHURCH?

The notion of church and state is antiquated and wrong. Associating a political position with religion is the basis of fundamentalism, because with gov't comes a certain level of control and religious extremists want that.
Solution, do not associate religion with government.
In this case (not to deviate off topic), the law, created by government came down on a pseudo religion, this...is a good thing. But to say that the "christianity" of your government made this decision in laying down the law is laughable.
The whole Bush-Conservatism = Christianity is laughable as well, very few of his actions can be labelled "Christian"
There is also an underlying sense in America, and even in Canada that Christianity = right and Islam or any other religion = wrong.
To me religion is a guide for people to live their individual lives, regardless of the worshipped figure, sheez, worship a tree, as long as the ideals of this tree worship are admirable.

While this could be fun, I wouldn't say its right. I see nothing wrong with picketing for peace, but picketing against our President does not seem right.
Romans 13:1-7 states: "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God'* servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God'* servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God'* servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor."

I was about to update my previous post with this:
We do not directly bash Bush at all. In fact, our priest voted for Bush. We don't hate anyone or anything, and we never had a sign that even had Bush'* name on it. Mainly, it was just about ending the war and bringing our troops home. Most of the pickets were "honk for peace" and stuff like that. We're not a hateful community and we respect our leaders.
That was bad judgement on my part for saying that stuff. I misrepresented my church and now I feel particularly bad about it. I never knew I'd get the feedback I just got. Please, don't judge me over this post, that'* all I'm going to say.

Sounds like a "let'* make a church and name it close to an actual church so we can preach what we want And get members" kinda place. Kinda like FLDS.

If I recall correctly from the stuff I saw on this church, it'* actually a house church. It'* like 4-5 families that all live next to each other.
