Default Silverstars?

FTW YO!!!!!

one headlight died in the tempo, and i promised myself that if one ever died, i would upgrade to silverstars. so i did, and i should have done it sooner. went from an amber spotbeam with some light off to the sides, to nothing but white. only downside, is the alternator is working overtime to keep up. good thing it has a lifetime warranty

I have mixed feelings on the Silverstars. I really like the 9005 and 9006 bulbs BUT their 880 fog light bulbs are terrible. I've had two burn out in the last 3 months and I am definitely not someone who just drives around with them on all the time. I recently replaced my Silverstar 9006 low beams with modified Cool Blue 9005 and they are pretty impressive.

well, prolly not, but alternator would squeel before when i had headlights and heat going when accelerating from idle before, now it is with just lights on. prolly need to tighten the belt on the alt. . i pulled out a set of standard sylvania replacements, which are listed as 35 watts, and the ss'* are rated at 55 watts. go figure . hope these dont melt the wiring right out of the car
