Hehehe...yah, I guess I am having too much fun with this. I'm going to have even more fun on Monday morning.

As I mentioned, this weekend was the company hoopla over in Tampa. Well at 2:30am Sat morning I got an obnoxious phone call from one of the other techs..drunk as a skunk. He was making a lame attempt at being a pissed off customer and insulting me personally. I have it recorded and I can hear at least two other techs laughing it up in the background. Gee, I work with only the best and brightest.

So, come Monday I get a little payback on this a**hole. I'm going to generate a bunch of fake emails that look like new service calls from our automated system (ADS). This jerk is gunna get slammed with calls. should take him a few hours to figure out that all these calls are fake..but by then he will not be able to tell which are the fakes and which are real ones and have to answer them all anyways.

Nah, this isn't gunna burn a bridge..and besides, it'* a bridge I wouldn't mind using dynamite on anyways. This is just going to confuse the heck out of some looser who should know better than to leave the porch without parental supervision.

Welp, first week on the new job is about done. So far, So good. Nice change of pace..the Bonneville has only accumulated 65 miles on the odometer all week instead of the usual 1,000

Well, going well is a relative term. It'* better than driving around fixing it problems on copiers. However, The "Get to Know Us" time ended today with the thud of requests on my desk to go take a look at ongoing problems (some of them are reports that have not worked right for months.)

The new job is like being given the keys to a 20 year old pile of junk and being told to restore it to brand new...the accounting "system" at the new employer is a real mess. The hardware is all good stuff, the software is just a cobbled together pile of junk. Looks like the next year will be just trying to keep it running long while writing a new one from scratch.

All in all, I got paid for the first week already (nice check in hand) which makes everything a little brighter, especially when I just got my final check from the copier folks today. By the end of next week my software writing skills will be spun back up to speed. A month from now, these folks will think I walk on water.

1000 miles down to 65, My Bonneville wouldnt know how to act. It might start getting its own AARP mail LOL. Today was a shade over 300 miles, about a normal day. Recent developments for me include a promotion and a newly ordered company car! Bonny will get a break in 12-16 weeks LOL.

So hows the other projects going? carwise?
