1997 pontiac bonneville test drive and thoughts
Well the other day I took a bonnie out for a test drive with my friend and i didn't like it at all really I mean it was smooth and such but it had like NO options that I gota have like the center console shifter TC and stuff like that....they wanted 5995 for the car....I guess I am looking more twoards like another contour but I want a SVT those look amazing and have a decent engine with good gas mileage but if a bonne came along like my uncles for under 4 grand I would buy it his is so nice its a 1995 bonnie SLE it has everything tc all power options moonroof leather dual power seats its so amazing!!

The Contours (especially the SVT) are a NIGHTMARE to work on. And they have no low-end balls. That'* what gets you going off the line.
Look for a 95+ SLE or SSE. That'* where the options are.

or an 87-91 SSE, that'* where all the options are. . If you want options, it has to be an SSE or SSEi, other than that, the options are lacking.

They can be quick, but the SVT worth talking about is the F150 Lightning and the STV Mustang.
I would rather work on a 3800 then the Contour SVT, and the insurance is going to be way more The only way I could go Contour SVT, is if I was a total Ford expert.

You can get decent Bonnevilles, you just have to hunt around. I got mine for $3500 back in December with 117k on it. Of course I'm not so sure you really need a Bonneville with your driving history....but you'll learn soon enough once the moeny tree dies up.
