Last I checked, the Scion tC, Honda Accord hybrid, and Nissan Titan are all steel, and the tC is actually quite "porky" for its size (I don't recall exact weight). And it'* got a strokey, big 2.4L I4 (variable valve timing further boosts power across the entire rev range). Flogging a manual tranny (or even an automagic), I doubt it'll be torqueless. Plus, body panels don't mean an awful much. While my Bonneville may have thicker body panels (read: weight), its structure isn't as solid as those of new cars today.

Depends on what they're tuned for. You need to find out when they fall flat on their faces
If at all. Multi-valve motors like to (generally) make their power anywhere you put the tach (though their low end torque won't compare to a two-valve 3800). It'* the (NA) 2-valve motors like the LN3/L27/L36 that fall flat on their faces as soon as you push it.

The Nissan Titan makes Dodge Ram Hemi-type power, IIRC.
