I know that there may be no one here who cares, but I am so proud that I want to tell the world.
I finally taught my 7 yeard old daughter to ride her bike.
For two years she has screamed in terror as if I was pushing her off of a roof from just sitting on her bike, let alone actually ride it.
So, we got it out yesterday for the first time since winter and she screamed for like twenty minutes but I wouldn't let her give up, and finally she was pedalling and I was walking with her and I l let go and she just kept going.
Now she just gets on and pedals away.
It was so awesome.
Anyway, any parent on here should understand the joy of seeing thier kid learn something new.

Congrats. Our 6 1/2 year old son is finally learning to ride without trainng wheels. He is getting better at it really fast. I have to use my bike to keep up with him now.

I understand your comments and it is all part of being a proud poppa.

I remember my daddy having to teach me to ride without training wheels...since I left my bike behind his truck. It kinda killed the training wheels.

I remember when my dad first taught me he held onto the seat. I was like 'are you holding on?' , "yeah", 'are you holding on?' , "yeah" and i look back and he was 20 feet away.
