I might've Found a Beater Truck.
Info is a little vauge on it at the moment. All I know is.
Dodge Ram
318 Small block
Red and White
Early 90'*
Its rusty
it runs
its $500
I've asked my aunt (who is the one whos sold me my 2 bonneville and my old buick regal) to look further into it.
Sounds ok if it runs fine.

It is worth having as long as it isn't a D50, the little Mitsubishi-made mini truck.
I prefer the styling of that era to what they look like now. The midget semi thing is getting tired.
My first truck was a 1972 D200. Mine had the compound (granny gear) 4 speed manual transmission. The 3 speed automatic was a lot more durable than the 4 speed automatic. Late model Dodge trucks with automatic transmissions are well known to need the transmission rebuilt around 80-100 thousand miles.

They are great trucks, but the tranny can be an issue. If it'* given regular filter changes and filled with the CORRECT Mopar fluid (not that Dexron/Mercron crap, not "mopar compatible" either, but REAL Mopar fluid) than they are just as reliable as anything else. Luckily rebuilds for the 904 are easy and cheap.
I'm assuming it'* a Magnum 318. They are a pretty good motor, there are certainly many options out there as far as building it up.
Suspension Techniques has a good drop kit, and www.polybushings.com has a great set of motor mounts.

d3e86208.jpg
or this
DSCF0025.jpg
the first if it is a auto will be the A518 good trans they also get cowl cracks when you open the door put your hand in between the fender and the cowl and you will feel cracks or missing metal
second is the newer they do have some issues look at the bottom of the doors make sure all the drains are open and look for any signs of rust hing sag can get bad as well
front end parts can be a pain at times trans require allot of attention after 100K but the ride is better than the older one not as good as a Chevy but better non the less
and yes those are both mine the blue got sold to buy the powder blue SE that got me started on this down hill slide of addiction
