S10 is dead again....
.....Since the S10 forum I am on sucks. Anyways, I am being told since I have my 4.3 torn down to the LIM, that I should replace my LIM gaskets to avoid encountering them later, as it had DEX in it all the way up to 130k, then was flushed and had green put in it. Apparently they like to leak like the 3800s do. Are they as easy as the 3800s, or am I gonna have a hard time doing them? The LIM looks like it will come right out after I pull the distributor which I dread. So anyone ever do them? If so, point to me what I may run into problemwise.

I have done it. its not too bad with a book and proper tools. Make a whiteout mark on the dist housing and rotor so it goes back the same way. If the motor is not disturbed (rotating it) then it SHOULD go back the same as it came out.
Yes they suffer the same LIM problem and replacing them is a good idea. Wish I had pics to help you out.

Be sure to get new o rings for the fuel pressure and return lines where they bolt up just at the back of the intake manifold. Have done LIM on both my 97 sonoma and 96 blazer and was pretty straight forward jobs.

Already ordered the O-rings since I was already replacing the FPR and related stuff in the first place. I am pulling the LIM off today to see how the gaskets held up at 150k.
