I've never owned a Bonne and I'm still here.... Don't ask why, as I'm not sure what I'm doing here.... Some Chevy guy gave me directions to a Ford forum and I ended up here maybe?

First, how come you told me to have my engine get some balls? My engine makes 168hp@5800rpm and 164 lb-ft torque@4300rpm (Stock). I think it is pretty damn impressive to get that amount of power out of a small 2.5 I-6 in the 80'*, plus I have a near 50/50 F/R weight distribution which is excellent for handling. Plus I can pull my head off and port and polish it, throw a turbo on this engine running 8-10 psi and easily squeeze 300 Crank HP out of it with no problems, there are many people on bimmerforums.com that have 275k+ on their e30'* with turbos and have absolutely no problems, since the trans and engine are both very strong. Yes I may have bought a car that needs work, but in the end, it will be a very nice car that is worth the time, money, sweat and tears. Anymore questions?
First of all yeah his BMW even in **** condition will probably kill your car at the track if he gives you a second head start. Just a point before you talk **** and make comments. Futhermore his car may be on the salty side but I dont think you have any room to talk.

On topic. they do handle good. I need to upgrade to a 2000+ 5 series some day when I get a real job. I'd even go for a 330i or something. However the 3800 will always have a place in my garage.

As far as older late 80s beamers being reliable. I'd say that is not that accurate of a statement, well drivetrain wise they are in the 3800 ballpark but electronic wise.... I've known 3 peope with older 80s bimmers and yeah...it makes my 220,000 '87 beat up olds look like a dang reliable ride.
haha, omg, thats hilarious, you took me seriously? I was completely kidding!!! I don't bash other people'* cars!!! You guys should know I'm not like that at all! I think its a pretty cool thing that you took on a totally new project! I would never have the balls to do it!

Altho, I am still wondering about the gas thing, , what kinda gas mileage do yah get on the highway anyways?

Also, glad to see you are stickin around! Every member as one makes this club just a little bit better.
