Buying a new car drives me nuts!
I am getting a little irritated with the new car hunt. First, apparently 2003 SSEis are very rare to begin with (ones for sale anyway...maybe everyone is hanging on to them because it was the last year). My dealers (2 of them) can't find one and it has been weeks since they have been looking. Second, I have found some online, and they are all extremely far away (like between 350 and 1500 miles!). Third, the only one close enough for me to look at was in rough shape and totally lacking in options (didn't even have a head'* up display! I thought those were standard on 2003 SSEis).
Then comes the kicker...all the cars online on sites like Cars.com are marked the lowest they can be in order to get rid of them (the dealers don't bother to list them online unless they are having trouble unloading them), and so they try to make up the lost money on the trade in! I was looking at local dealers who offered me in the $9000 range for my bonnie as a trade in, and then the dealer who had the (very low priced) 2003 I looked at offered me $5000 for it! I was so insulted I said, " okay, we're clearly done here", shook his hand and walked away (and to think I drove 350 miles for that!). *Sigh*...maybe I am just not meant to have a new car now.
Okay, thanks...I just needed to vent.

find any in Rochester, NY or Binghamton, NY and I can check them out for you. My dad is in Binghamton, and just started working for a Chevy dealership. I'll have him watch to see if they get any in on trade.

Thanks a lot...I appreciate that. What we are really looking for is a fully loaded (6 or 12 CD changer, heads up, monsoon, moonroof, heated seats, etc) black 2003 SSEi with mileage under 25,000. That is pretty hard to find around here... maybe anywhere.
