Default Going to the ER on vaction (Reno) is never fun :(

Well I went to Reno/Lake Tahoe for vacation with the Girlfriend this last week (second trip there). Stayed at my Grandma'* again who retired there 2 years ago and had a great time. Best cheep vaction option for me. Free room and board, gram likes to cook for us when were there, Gives me her car so I don't have to rent one, and she'* happy I'm there. Gotta love her. Gotta love going to a 24 hour party town, Don't every really sleep, just take naps when you need a break. I'm 23 by the way. Lots of cheep casinos, skiing trip planned, always nice just to drive up in the mountains which are every directiion, so flat in midwest.

Day 2 we go up into Tahoe to go skiing at Mt. Rose on Thursday, ladies day actually. First time skiing out west on real mountians. It was so great. Perfect weather and not crowded at all. I consider myself a Blue hill skiier, in the midwest black but real Mountainss blue hill. Later in the day I'm off by myself cause Jenny is on skiies for the second time and is only bunnyhill material right now (green), just carving along and i catch an edge, and take a nice spill. lay there for a minute, recover myself try to walk back up to get my poles and such and the left knee is down captain. Damn it. I was pissed, not even somthing hard and I get hurt, she'* the new-bie skiier. Had to get meat-sleded down to first aid. I still got 3 days of vacation left and with a bum knee.

So I definitly can't put weight on it and I know that I need some damn crutches and a knee braces. To the Reno ER I go. Nothing serious, nothing broken , but definlty pulled some muscle and maybe part of my minscus (sp?). Going to go to the doc tomarrow. Well pissed that I have to be on cruthes on vacation and that I got to miss 1-2 weeks of work. That'* not good. Header money was almost all there now I got to pay for my spill and start over.

Whole rest of the trip crutching around in the Casinos, another cocktail please, tip her good so they keep coming back, Also got a little hydrocordone 4 da pain. What hurts most now is my arm pits from all the crutching. What can you do, Got wheelchaired along at the airport, everybody there new, skiing huh? Yeah. Got moved to the first row in the plane with the bulk head for some extra room was nice, no charge.

So with the time off work, I'll be on the computer a lot this week. Did I mention I hate crutches?

I tried to have the best outlook that I could. Big thanks to my girlfriend for helping me alot. She'* getting dozen roses at work on Tuesday.

Car story-Grandma has a 94 Ford Thunderbird loaded, bought it new, it rolled over 31,000 when I was in it, Most of the miles were driving it accross country to come here from Chicago. Such a grandma'* car, she averaged 5-15 miles a week she says, I put on 550 in 5 days. Well the Girlfirend did the driving after I became "Gimpy". She kinda complained aobut all the miles too, like her T-bird is going to be a classic. I already know that that car is mine in her will, I'm the car guy. Can't wait. Personally I don't like how they ride/turn, I was missing my SSEi big time, also the HUD too.

Went to doc today going to get an MRI done tonight. Boss was real happy with the news, called me a "knuckle ball", and told me I was killing him, so swamped at work, I need you back ASAP, rest up. Know everyone is working +60hrs.

Still had a good trip, tried to be out as much as possible. I did OK at the Casinos came home with $150, last time I was broke. The girlfriend won $300 last night at the end so she had cash plus her other winings, at least one of us usually wins, and I came out a little ahead, breaking even is winning to me.

Congratulations, Taylor, you are now the proud owner of a barometer. Just wait until it heals, every time it is about to rain you'll be able to say "My knee is acting up again....yup, it'* going to rain!"

I use to laugh at people that said that--until I smashed my knee while pole vaulting in highschool back in the day.

Look on the bright side...it wasn't your right knee. That would've sucked even more! Now at least you can still drive. I hope it heals up real nice. That sucks about the header money too.

At least I can drive, haven't yet but confident I can. Excepting 3-6in of snow tomarrow, I'm not going anywhere, wed. I'll go to work and get my paychecks and that'* it for me.

On a brighter note. Before I left, I dropped my car off at my installer and got a Viper 791 remote start 2 ways system, there nicest one. I'll go check it out tomarrow, also got some stereo tweeking done and swaped out one of my amps to help find a whine. Also better of gotten a new mirror for my decklid, falls of occasonly and got a little scratch. Tried superglue and industrly velcro. Going to play in my car a little tomarrow but don't plan on leaving the driveway.

Maybe this week I'll make some new grills, add some depth to them.

Oh,ya thanks for the support eveyone!
