Ok... Back ON TOPIC, which is my point. Yes this is the lounge, but it'* not email chain letter posting, and it'* not take every conversation off topic. Yes we have more free will here, but seriously, some stuff is out of hand.

Geez man! get a grip! every post goes off topic, EVERYPOST! you can't keep everything going in one direction all the time. I know YOU have taken things out of topic, so has jim w, wren, it'* enevitable! This isn't Russia! Maybe it goes ocver bored but take the fun away, and evryone will leave,..that'* why it'* a lounge.

Not exactly what I was hoping for here.

The fact remains people have not left, they have retreated to a mode of observation. And the ones that have left, departed for reasons unrelated to the overall mood, however we are at risk of losing members, DUE TO WHAT IS BEING OBSERVED.

Our Staff here has worked its butt off to try and provide the forum with proper guidelines and direction for everyone. Its also important that we remember who the Staff is and realize that if there is a problem, or an opinion regarding where things are going, inform one of us offline.

The Lounge in itself can get messy once in a while, but in comparision to what I have seen elsewhere, this is nothing. All of us have kept things above the belt and have been mindful of the rules. No one is forced to read or participate and as long as members remember the original post in this thread then we will be fine.

I would like to personally thank the members that have contacted me via PM or IM'* to share their views and feelings. I take it to heart and I will do whatever I can to ensure that we don't lose our small town feel.

This thread is now locked, I again invite the staff to post comments here. You have all be quiet and I want to hear what you have to say

And another thing.

We have been focusing WAY to much on whats negative around here lately, this place has been very helpful to a lot of people I'm sure of it. Lets start to focus on whats positive. And we all need to read it here.

So, I ask nicely, if you have something to say, send me a PM and I will post in here. Share with us what this place has done for you and why you stay and participate.

Tell you what....lets unlock this. Post something postive and meaningful and lets REALLY get serious about what needs to be done.

I have been contacted again by a member via PM, reinforcing these concerns (not someone who has posted in this thread recently). I think the biggest problem is a lack of respect with regards to staying on the original poster'* topic. Because of the friendly atmosphere here, it gets interpreted as 'anything light-hearted goes'. While this is true, it'* only true as long as we stay within the topic.

People come here to socialize, and people come here to help with problems/ideas. We all need to be a little more attentive and respectful to which is which, what the differerence between the two is, and find some middle ground.
