Yeah, where would I find one? Also, the Chilton/Haynes would cover the LeSabre too.

Ebay would be one place. I think there are others but I am not sure.

Service Manual>Chilton>Haynes

I got my FSM'* for about $50 shipped off ebay - just gotta know where to look and get the timing right. Otherwise, for basic stuff a Chilton'* will be just fine.

I'll keep my eye out for the FSMs. The lowest on ebay right now is like $80. I can get the Chiltons for $8 shipped.

Would the FSM for the 97 SE apply to the 96 LeSabre too?

For shear usability, ease of information, the chilton is miles easier then the FSM'*. For most repairs and maintenance, i use the chiltons, but the FSM is a reference for sure, and very valuble on highly detailed knowledge.

If you're just wanting it to know how to do PCV swaps, maybe gasket work, water pump, a chiltons should be plenty.

FYI, Haynes publishes the GM service manual(*)! Or at least used to. Now it'* all online on Service Information in Dealerworld, so I don't know if it'* Haynes or Helms anymore.

Chilton'* is good for 90% of what you need. #28200.

FSM'* can be purchased new from www.helminc.com
They are the publisher.
