Default New Project?

There comes a time in a guy'* life when deals come up that cannot be past by. Such as the one I just got. One of my good friends' mom'* fiance [long, I know] has a 1986 Cutlass Supreme. About 5 years ago the car 'blew the engine' but basically what happened was the car started smoking real bad. He then parked it out in their field [about 1,000ft away from the house]. It'* been sitting ever since. Long story short, I went over there today to fire it up and bring it over to their barn to try to fix it enough to drive it back to my place [about a 1.5mi trip]. My friend kept asking about estimates to get it 'driving' since I was going to fix it up for her. And when I told her it was probably going to be $1,000, she got really angry and just said 'screw it.' So the owner [her mom'* fiance] and I got to talking. And I brought up.. since Katherine [the friend] didn't want it, I'll take it. He says alright, and the rest is history. We didn't try to fire it up today because well.. it'* pretty far back, needs air in the tires, and just lots of **** and to be honest I didn't think it would have made it [hell my car struggled getting back there, and i've never had traction problems]. What'* going to happen is they have a 4wd Bronco, that we are going to attempt to pull it out of the field. Then attempt to fire it up. If we get it in driving condition, I am going to drive it home. If not, he'll tow it to my place, for free!

Basically this is like xmas for me.. free car, free delivery, all because they want it out of their field. I'll post up some pics on Monday when I get the car . I'm so excited.. now I have to figure out how to tell my mom about my other car .

Oh yeah, to anyone reading, the Bonneville is NOT being sold, or put on the side in any way. But, the funds shall be shared between the two beasts. Not 100% sure about the transmission rebuilding schedule just yet, but no matter what I will still do it. Now it just may not get done as soon as I thought it would.

How could I pass up such a deal? The Bonneville will get fixed, I have a new engine/trans coming both in great running condition. I will just pull out my engine/trans and get to the rebuilding when I get to it.

The cutty probably won't get much attention until the Bonneville is fixed and whatnot. Maybe a few things here and there. The Bonneville will still get my main focus, however. For sure.

EDIT: Pics come Monday, mate. Lots and lots of pics.

Yeah don't take on too much at once.

EDIT: Let me restate, I would totally take the car, but I wouldn't sink any cash into it untill my other car was up and running.

That'* correct guys. Even though with a little work, she'll be one helluva car. Just going to take a little time before the funding rolls on in.
