New Mexico Welcomes Winter
Yup, it got us with a clean headshot, again.
On Saturday, this was the picture. Fog in the morning, etc, I was trying to get pics of the fog over the river, you can see fog still hanging around.

Weather was generally acceptable, until I had to scrape a stupid amount of frost off the Park Avenue at 6am yesterday morning, even had to scrape it off the inside of the windshield, which was annoying. Go to work, starts snowing about 1pm. I get to go home, only after digging this out:

I was out around 5pm, and it was starting to get interesting on the roads with slight snow accumulation. Then it got dark, and started to accumulate. Sitting on a good 6 inches, with ice on the roads. Forecasted low is 14*F, it is currently 5:40, and indicated 10*F.
Just waiting to see if they close the office today, I hope they do. As it is, they normally open at 7am, and are scheduled to open at 10 today.
So, from New Mexico, winter is here. I can't help but wonder what else is in store for us this year.

Maybe this is wrong of me to say..
I don't see the fog though.
You dug out from the snow in that picture?
To those of us that get snow, that'* called a light dusting. It'* acceptable to fire up the car, flick the wipers once and drive w/o further cleaning. As for the 6 inches.. can we get a picture of a ruler in the snow? Last year Enfield CT made it into Time magazine based on the total snowfall. This year, we are only a couple inches away from breaking a long standing rainfall record.
And if John doesn't stop sending this rain to me...I'm gonna drive over and bring some of it back to him.

the problem is people who dont get it alot aren't ready for it. ive beenout to OKC several times and they dont get that much but it gets cold sometimes and alot of people have single plane windows, lackluster heat, poor removal equipment, etc..

That'* about how much snow I got over from last night. All I did was flick wipers and drove away. Hardly an inconvenience. I'm probably much more use to snow than you are.

I'd love to have a forecasted low of 14*. We had a low of -14* this morning without taking windchill into account and it'* not even January/February yet. It'* going to be a fun winter everyone.
