I HATE female drivers. (Accident)
Im particular the kind who just dont care and try to find a skapegoat to their problems and offload ther responsibility on innocent people who had nothing to do with initiating the accident other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I felt the need to come on here and get this off my chest, because I am supposed to be studying for my finals instead and I have no other way to release my energy and my nerves. Now I can no longer concentrate on my studies.
My mom took out my garaged Bonneville, a car which I carefully take care of and invest alot of blood, sweat, and tears as well as money because I dont want to drive any other car but that one. She took it out because the junk Ford Taurus that she usually takes out on grocery runs is just that, junk. That and we had to dig it out of the snow so it was just more convenient to take mine.
After she was done at the store, she backed out, and while she did some inconsiderate bitch in a Passat backs out after we did, completely oblivious to my mom and her honking and drives in to the rear driver door. They got out and my mom was "WTF were you doing backing out into me? DId you not see me?" And you know what she said? "Well thats because my rear window is foggy and covered in snow." Well bitch you should be looking in to whom you are backing into, like mayby an old lady who could be walking there. You should also have taken the time, like any other respectable driver, to take a winter brush and CLEAN your goddamn window or at least be sure that when you back out you are not running in to anything else!
We had backed out first and had the right of way, we couldnt go anywhere cus she was backing into us and we had to honk her *** to let her know she was about to ram into somebody! And what does she do? Accuse us of "just being there" and went on in an incoherant rant and basically blamed us for the accident, and ask us for OUR insurance while refusing to give up HERS!
We asked her where she lived and she refused to say. So finally like the bitch that she is, she gave in and showed us her insurance info and home phone number, realizing that she lived in the town where we lived by looking at the phone number, she finally fessed up and said yes to the town she lived in. Why would she not reveal where she lived and not give up her insurance information? Was she trying to hide something? She knows she'* in trouble but the only thing she can do was try in a cowardly attempt to shift the blame on us and try to excuse herself from the responsibility of the accident and not even reveal her insurance info.
My mom is diabetic, she cannot handle nerves very well. Now she is upset not just because of being shaken up from the accident which could have EASLIY been avoided but because she said that if she hit her junk Ford Tarus instead she would not have cared. Now my mom is upset and will get sick as a result. I dont give a damn about the car anymore. Now im worried about taking my mom to the emergency because she is very nervous and her blood pressure could skyrocket and she could faint. All because some inconsiderate, bigoted and careless bitch did not take the time to clean her rear window, not even CHECK as she backed out of the parking lot to make sure she wasnt hitting anybody.
Now besides the shock of seeing a ruined door on a car which I had spent alot of hard working hours over, and we cannot afford another car, now I have to worry about my mom'* health and her guilt that she did not take out the Taurus. And her health is more important than any other damn car in the world. All because of stupid, lazy, inconsiderate whiny bitches who are too goddamn lazy to not just clean but actually know where you are backing into.
End rant, thank you for your time, but my nerves are still shot.

On top of that, my mom got her insurance but didnt report it to the police. Are you supposed to? Can you still do so few hours after the fact?

ya you dont have to go right away....and if you go and report it and she doesnt it is considered her fault no matter what (even thought it is, im just telling you for future referance) so let your self calm down then go report it tommorow and make that dumb bitch pay

Has everyone completely forgotten the concept of vehicle operation lately?!
One reason why I wish we had German standards for drivers licence exams

I would report it to the police just to make sure. I always call the cops anytime I was in an accident or where insurance was given out. Just easier that way in the long run. When you talk with the police, draw a diagram of the area at the time of the accident and show the locations of the cars on it and direction of movement (diagrams help a lot, trust me. ) Also, tell the officer everything the woman said and give them all the information that she gave you. When this is done, report the damage to HER insurance company. They will look into it, contact her, and then decide the fault. This is where the police report helps a lot. if on it it states she didn't clear her window and backed up blindly, they can't fight it. If her insurance refuses to pay, then take it to yours and have them fight for you. Most of the time, you won't need to go to yours and you won't have any worries about yours rising since it wasn't your fault. Call the police first, then her insurance company once the police bit is over and you should be ok.
I have been in about 5 accidents where cops were called and it was the other person'* fault. One of them was an older woman who didn't look behind her when backing up and couldn't see well due to allergies that backed into my PARKED 93 SSE, so that is why I am telling you how I would handle it. My dad arrived just in time to hear the cop tell the woman "ma'am, you have to look behind you when you back up."

Thanks for the tips.
FYI - Mom is doing fine. I was worried she was going to get upset and get sick, but as it turns out she only gets upset when I am, so I have to watch myself. Im over it already by now. Tomorrow she is going to talk to the insurance guy and it will all be taken care of. Even though its a Bonneville its just a damn car. Its not like I can take it to the afterlife with me when I die or anything like that.

I'm glad you are both okay. The insurance will pay for it either through the other lady'* policy or your uninsured motorist if she didn't have any.
In a questionable accident ALWAYS call the cops and refuse to move the cars unless it will cause hazardous conditions. The minute she said she wouldn't give up her insurance info I would've been dialing 911.

First of all the serious side: I am glad you and your mother are alright. Having recently been involved in an accident myself, I empathise with you. My wife on top of her other health issues is hypoglycemic and severe stress/anxiety can cause her blood sugar to rapidly crash and cause a seizure. I'm glad that nobody was hurt and that the insurance people will sort the mess out.
Now for the funny: I personally plan on taking my Bonnie with me!
