This is becoming more of a PITA than I wanted it to be. And for a measly $30 too!!

I plan on shipping UPS using my online account. Do I have to still use any additional forms?

I know at my old job we used to have issues getting stuff to Canada. But it seemed kind of random. Some folks would get stuff as fast as folks in the states. Some people'* stuff would linger at the border for weeks....

Sill Canadidians....

Thats why i have everything shipped to my American Address then just drive it over...

you wouldn't believe the stuff Canada Customs loses or the bill you get... Better to ship as replacement part or "Gift"

UPS will ask a billion questions. USPS form isn't bad..it'* only a few things.

Now...if you want it to get there w/o any issues, put down what it is in the description.

I always get skeptical when someone wants to buy something 'offline' on eBay. I was selling a $200 stereo one time on eBay. I don't remember the details, but someone e-mailed me in a similar manner as your e-mail (using words like "hope I'm dealing with an honest gentleman" and "God Bless"), and said they'd take it but they needed it ASAP. I told them I wasn't shipping it until I had payment. Regardless, the person still seemed rushed to get the stereo and sent me more e-mails asking when it was shipping. I never received payment. And obviously I didn't ship it. Who thinks someone would ship a $200 stereo before taking payment on it? LOL

It seems like your situation is legit, but whenever I get a message where they talk EXTREMELY polite as described in my case, I don't trust it. Just be careful. As long as you have actual payment in hand before you ship something you'll be fine.

Thats my first rule of thumb. I wont ship ANYTHING unless payment is in my bank!! This Ebay user has over 200 transactions, but came across shady when I saw his email asking to alter the price and he would pay me in shipping..... Im thinking of just canceling the auction because quite frankly, its not worth the hassle for a measly $30 bux.

What he is doing is a normal practice $5.00 through customs will cost nothing where $10.00 might cost 35% as long as he pays ship it regular post...

Well having bought many items from Ebay in the US, I also ask that they make sure the total amount claimed on the USPS, NOT ups form shows no more than 20$. Anything over 20$ and we get nailed for duty and them makes it almost not worth buying. Also USPS has always been great, they charge WAY less for cross border items than UPS. We once had an item shipped UPS and paid the duty, Then got a bill from UPS telling us we owed them some stupid amount for "their brokerage fee". Since that day I refuse to buy anything that will only ship UPS.

Boosty is 100% correct in his comments. I have purchased items on Ebay for $45.00 US. When it arrived at my house, the total for the tiem with brokerage fee'* ended up to $92.00 US. That'* almost double...........That sucks. Sometimes it doesn't matter what the amount is that you claim, or whether you put Warranty Claim, or Used Part Being Returned, Gift etc. They don't care, they just want a piece of the action. As far as I'm concered as long as you get your money and it'* through paypal, what'* the harm.
