You don't buy a Neon for horsepower...
NO. Not at all.

Exactly. Which is why, when you look down at my sig, you see 2.0, 5.0, 5.7, 5.7, and 5.7. I think we've nicely compensated for the 2.0.

I liked my Neon for the 17 days I owned it but if you ever have a wreck you will definately change your mind about how great they are.

I will NEVER own another one! I will stick with Pontiac'*. I get great gas mileage still (not as great as yours but still very acceptable). but you gotta do what makes you happy. I will support your decision regardless of whether I agree or not.

Hence why I usually drive like a paranoid grandmother most of the time (while still going the speed limit, of course, no slower) and watch everything around me like a hawk. I know there'* still a risk of idiocy from the cars around me, but on my end, I'm pretty safe.

My fiance drives my truck partially because I don't want him getting in an accident in the Neon. He'* had about an accident a year since he'* had his license. The only accident I was in was when I got rear ended (obviously, not my fault).

My aunt has a 2005 Neon SXT, ew. I hate that car. I mean, as far as gas mileage, yeah, it rules, but that is the only thing about that car that I like.

Yeah, an SXT is what I test drove. I think it might do alright in a manual tranny, but I haven't driven one yet.

Yeah, If I had a gun to my head and had to get a Neon, it'd be a manual. The automatic sucks. It can't choose a consistent shift point, there is no acceleration at high RPMs, it'* a mess.

My '98 is an automatic, and it holds its own well enough. It'* easier and more fun to drive than my pickup truck, but before anyone makes too much fun of me...

my bonnie is still my favorite.
