One got in my house before. Had everybody going crazy scared
I threw a towel over it, which fell to the floor with the towel, picked it up then let it go outside.

ROFL. John I've done the same to an S10 where they all rot out. It wasnt real pretty but it works.

Vital get a lightweight pond net if you just want to get them out doors.. they are timid and dont put up a fight. you have to wear them down a little. The woods behins and to the side off my house is infested with them and I love to watch them feed and dive bomb my pond at dusk.

I've caught a bat with a fishing net before. There was literally a bat in the belfry at church.

Best way to catch them is just to corner them and then pick them up with heavy leather gloves. Just be very careful, as bat'* wings are very delicate.

if you get them on the ground they wont be flying anymore, they are too heavy to get up off the ground them selves...so once you croner them and get them make sure you can put them in a tree or something.....or maybe even if you can throw it high enough :? dont try it....if you capture it you can put it in a coffe can and it will live for a couple days and you can call animal controll or something....

someone mentioned this already, but. WHY?

bats eat bugs. bugs annoy the crap outta me. i had a house with about 200 bats in the attic.and i wouldn't want them to go away for anything.

I just remembered the funniest thing I've ever seen involving bats. While we were down in Panama, a tiny little bat got into the stairwell, at the top of which (about 5 floors I think) were our temporary Battalion HQ. Well, I'm on door/radio watch one evening, and the Big Bad Sergeant Major decides to come check on me. He met the bat. He hit the floor. He screamed like a little girl. He made my shift go by so much quicker that night...
