I have to agree with Tim. When my wife went into labor it was in the middle of a snow storm and we were about 30 minutes from the hospital. If I had been drinking that would heve been no good.
But yeah, an emotional state can be just as dangerous as drinking.
I'm sure that GXP would get you there pretty quick when you got that call.

I'm not sure what you do (general idea, not specific) but I know you came to Buffalo a lot...if there'* anything I can do on this end to help out to keep the business going, just give a yell!

If our Dr gives her a green light on Monday then all will be ok, I have about 4 weks of work left and i'm only gone 2 or 3 days. and if worst came to worst I could hope a plane and be home in 1 hour.

The thing is now training her to Relax, She isn't the type to relax she likes to do everything. Like this afternoon I dropped her off to run over to the new shop What did she do? Jumpped in the car and went to the grocery store. Now she has no car keys. I will set it up so that there is someone around to take her where ever when ever.

I'm in the middle of getting her house together so she won't have any house work to gripe about. Or worry about doing.

It is difficult to re-program yourself from running full-throttle to sitting at an idle... she'll have to have projects to do, like reading, painting, puzzles, scrapbooking, ...something that will allow her relax yet keep her mind active ...something tangible so she can see she'* accomplishing something.

Well we're back in the Hospital 3 days after seeing our DR.... I believe I mentioned that Nanette has had high blood pressure Since the beginning of pregnancy. Well we saw the DR on Wednesday He pulled a fast one and snuck her in to the examining room to question her about our relationship, Basically said he has seen it before saying that I'm an abusive spouse (WTF) then said that he wanted to refer her to a shrink for counseling :? Anyways Instead of prescribing something for abnormally high blood pressure he suspects that I'm a control freak ( I will be seeing him tomorrow) ANYWAYS.....


She saw a Dr that came from Ottawa about an hour away Lastnight prescribed Adovan 1mg just to help mom relax and sleep a little that helped bring her blood pressure down a little and this morning started her on a Medication to help bring it down gradually. Baby "Leland" is fine and over all so is Mom. I spoke with the On Call OBGYN about the lack of common sense from our own OBGYN he wasn't to happy that this has been left un treated. Also mentioned speaking to a mal practice lawyer in the morning.


Problem.....

I was supposed to head out tonight and since mom is in the best place for her and there isnt a concern with eithers health he told me that nothing would be decided untill at least tomorrow afternoon So if there is any business to take care of Do it NOW. If he feels the need to induce her it wouldnt be until at least Wednesday. :?


Im freaking LOST....

Ok Blood pressure medication has been increased. Mom is now resting and holding out at 170/90 sometimes a little lower.

She will be in the Hospital until at least Wednesday.

Basically the Dr gave her the worst case scenario this morning, But I have been assured but the Staff that they have seen much worse.

And as long as Baby is fine and mom shows no sign of pain we should be all good. They just want to keep her until the can get her blood pressure down.


Fingers crossed. Getting on the road now, Should be a little better for mom and Baby that im not here
:? she might get a little more rest. Staff have my phone number incase and I can be back with in 3 hours.

Hopefully she gets the rest she needs and the medication starts working.

I have been receiving hourly updates from the staff at the hospital. Her BP readings have been dropping slightly.. She took another 1 MG of Atovan at 1130 and is now sound asleep I should no I will be back in town by 1130am tomorrow around the time her regular OB is to be in.. We will have words on his lack of what ever you call it.

Ok time for an update...this morning as of 10 am in was in Buffalo. By 3pm in was in Ottawa (map quest it). Nan was sent by land ambulance to Ottawa General where I likely should have brought her Sunday. With her came no records of anything that had been done (so all the same tests all over and a lot more questions) she now has a Team of doctors and NIC unit waiting for Leland if they have to induce. But we have since been shipped out of labor and delivery since the Team thought that the blood work that was run wasn't as bad as it was let on to be basically Our OB shipped her here because he doesn't want the reponsibility.

I had a feeling that we would end up here but talk was tomorrow. Anyways we are here now and thie is the best place for Mom and Leland. Her Blood pressure had been dropping they had her oin all sorts of stuff 1 being magnisium to stop and seizures. But have since stopped that.

Oh and the car ran great on the trip and had no problems holding at 100+Mph. Over the course of the trip. I got stopped in Watertown and as soon as I mentioined calling he said (laughing) just try to keep it close to the posted limit. Will update you guys tomorrow Momma is sleeping and I'm not far behind.
