Default Army guys and the green book

I currently work at a company with a lot of former millitary people. One Army guy in particular carries a green book everywhere with him. I wouldnt care but years ago i worked with an ex Army guy and he also had a green book.

So my question is, whats up with the little green book?

Is it magazine size? The Army puts out a monthly magazine known as "THe Green Book". Only other thing I can think of is a handbook sized notebook you can get at the Supply Store on base.

Yes, its handbook size. 8" x 4" x 1" thick. i was just wondering if maybe its something i could use in my business day that could help me out in some way. Kind of like Blackberry'* are todays latest business tool, maybe this is something taught in the Army.

Sounds to me like it might be a Day Planner - which is the antique predecessor of the modern day Blackberry!

Actually the Army is redundant about organization, Mental and physical. I use to hear all the time, "Write it down, it will help you remember, and you may not have to look at it again." When you read, write, and speak; you use different area'* of the brain. So the more places you out something in, the more likely to recall....... Then there is the "Pavlov" method. Hehehe.
