Default I can't beleive it ( read this!!)

Well as most people know Wed is terrible for TV. So I resorted to watching Discovery channel ( usually monster garage or american choppers is on).
Well tonight there was this show on the Princess Diana accident. So I figured ah why not I like research stuff like that ( accident research and experiments).

Well they were going to do a high speed test to try and recreat the damage on the Mercedes.
To my surprise and disgust, what do they use. A BONNEVILLE yep that is right a BONNEVILLE. They said that they used a PONTIAC BONEVILLE since it is comparible in size and weight as the MERCEDES S280, well at least they are comparing it to a Mercedes. Well they got the car up to approx 65mph ( what they think the Mercedes was going) and had it run into a cement angle at the end of the track ( similar to the post that the Mercedes hit. The poor bonneville when into the air like you wouldn't beleive and there was not much left to it, BUT the car looked almost identical to what the mercedes looked like and was even turned and in the same position at the mercedes was in that tunnel.
To make things worse they replayed the video of the poor, poor bonneville a few times. Pretty insteresting to see what happens to a car when it impacts something at that speed.

Alright I am done now, just had to get that out. Too bad I couldn't tape it.

Well at least they used a 92-99 ( since they are the ugliest, hehe) not an SSEi, now had they used a 87-91 SSE that would have been a crime.

It was the slow color too, GREEN.

Not sure if it was hubcaps or rims on it, I was more concerned with the front end, or what was left of it.

I like the "box" looking ones to the "bubble" things we got today, cant imagine why they wouldnt spend the money on a Mercedes to crash it

I wish I would've seen that. I spend most of my time everyday on the highway doing about 70-75 mph. If I'd have seen what it did to that car at 65 it might have made me slow down. I should name my car the "intimidator" because people see me coming and they get out of my way and I love that rush!!

THAT POOR BONNIE!!!! OK, that'* sick and wrong. Here is someone who will sell her soul for a Bonneville...and they go and crash a perfectly good one? ARGH! Gggrrrr.

And the 92-99 Bonnies are the best looking. The new ones are too soft looking. Those older ones are the kind of cars Doom would ride in on.
