Default Last night excitement

The wife and I live on a moderately traveled road so so we've experienced a few shenanigans over the years. Last night, we were abruptly woken by what sounded like a car revving the engine up to the rev limiter several times and the mini blinds in our room illuminated very brightly. My wife, being closer to the window, sprang out of the bed and looked out the window. In a trembling half-hysterical voice she exclaimed "There'* a car on the lawn!" Moments later I had a chance to look out the window and saw the bright headlights pointing towards and dangerously close to the corner of our house.

Doreen ran out of the bedroom as I jumpped into a pair of sweats. As I ran out the front door I told her to call the cops. Exiting the door and skipping all 4 steps of the porch, I see a silver 2 door Caddy exiting our yard and onto the adjacent street. Barefoot and shirtless, I gave chase. It didn't take too long for my out of shape *** to become winded but as I slowed to catch my breath a witnessing motorist pulled up and asked if he should get the plate. I said "please" but never saw him again. After a couple of minutes a cruiser came buy but didn't stop. Instead, he entered the neighborhood across the street. We scratched our heads wondering why and then decided to grab a beer and wait for the police to stop.

20 minutes later, a cruiser rolled by. I signaled him with the flashlight we were using to inspect the tracks in the yard. After I explained what happened, another cruiser pulled up and the two talked. I could only hear bits and pieces of their conversation but from what I did hear and the cop'* reaction when I told him what car it was, it led be to believe they already knew who it was. When I said "It sounds like you already have someone in mind." he responded "Yea... We got the guy down the street". He explained that no one was really sure of what was going on because the operator was an elderly man so they thought that it might be a medical reason.

A 62 year old man knocked on my door this afternoon and introduced himself as the one who took a ride on my lawn. He was very apologetic and explained that the car "surged" which made him lose control of the Caddy. It sounded more like the throttle stuck wide open which would explain the rev limiter sound I heard the night before. He said that his son is a landscaper and will correct the tracks he made in the yard which aren''t too bad, really.

The wife was a bit shaken up but she'll be able to chuckle about it. The really good news is that he got the car under control before he nailed the 93 and Franky which are parked on the side yard. He was heading right for them

Right, so that the tree can fall right on your house when it gets hit

if its a big enough tree there isnt a car in the world that can knock it down...trees can take hellish amounts of abuse..

youve got two L67s in your yard.....and you chase him on foot...instead of whining...youre wheezing...whats up with that?
