Will my car pass the Arizona safety inspection with a cracked windshield?

well in most states if you have a cracked winshield the answer is no. my car had a little minor crack in the upper passenger right hand corner..and yes $800+ later the previous owner had to get a new one to pass inspections again, I have the paperwork from it still.

Luckily there are no inspections or emissions in my area.

iuno about AZ but in NJ the state provides free inspections, if thats the case you could bring it and find out and wudnt cost u any $

true. but i'd hate to drive this beast all the way to AZ only to find out i ned a windshield that'* going to cost more than i paid for the car. oh well. i'll figure something out., thanks guys.

when i was a state inspector in NH, it had to be less than an inch long, AND out of drivers direct view

Scott, I got your PM.

I was doing some searching on the Arizona MVD Website, but couldn't find anything about windshield cracks. I know your car will have to do an emissions inspection, as well as a short inspection at the MVD office before you can register it. I'm actually just leaving to do mine in about an hour. I have a small rock chip out of my windshield, but it'* barely noticeable. I'll let you know if they give me any trouble. I'll try to ask the inspector about cracks when he'* looking at my car today.

awesome. thanks ben. my crack is a foot long and in front of the passenger'* view. rock-star chip in my field of vision as well. thanks again...looking forward to finding out what he says.
