I remember the days when it was just dailup buliten boards
But before 56K modems came along I had ISDN installed in my home. For those that don't know what it is; dual 64k digital lines with a third 16K signalling line. At the time there were only 3 ISPs in my area that supported ISDN, I found one that was so intrigued that a residential user had ISDN that he never charged me for 3 years!
Good thing he didn't charge me, the ISDN lines alone cost $55 CDN per month and the outbound bandwidth was tarrifed between 7 AM and 7 PM.
And just for you oldtimers...
Before the days of GPS, here'* a shot of a readout of a prototype navigation system using dual Loran C that was also linked to the boat VPP (Velocity Prediction Program). These photos are circa 1986;
Ahhh, the good old days
Cheers,

We had Prodigy with a 1200 baud modem, 25 emails per month free, .25 cents per after that. Only online till midnite or 2am, cant remember which. guess that was about 1991 or so.
